Concerts in the spring semester 2015/2016:

  • 15/17/21/22/28/29 February and 3/6 March at 7 pm - in Genialistide Klubi (Magasini 5, Tartu) TÜAN sings in a play of the theatre Must Kast (Black Box) "Võõrana Põhjala kõrbes" (director Lennart Peep). It is a survey of our own and foreign, prejudice, and being a human. TÜAN is playing the landscape - commenting, helping and taking a step with and for the humanised Soo (Bog).
  • 20 March at 7 pm - in Mustpeade Maja (Tallinn) "Lenda üles kurbtusest". It is a concert where all four musical collectives or the University of Tartu on stage: us, Tartu Academic Male Choir, Tartu University Chamber Choir, and Tartu University Symphony Orchestra. Together we will perform Tõnu Kõrvits' magical "Kreek's Notebook", in addition to that chorus pieces by I. Garšnek, M. Ratassepp, G. Ernesaks, A. Ritsing, H. Wolf, P. Eben, K. Nystedt, F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy and others. Conductors: Triin Koch, Alo Ritsing, Kuno Kerge, Lauri Sirp.
  • 31 March at 7 pm - in Tartu Maarja Church world premiere of "Surgit Dorpatum" ("Tartu rises") (by Matthew Peterson). There will be photographs and videos used for telling the story about our Tartu.
  • 2 June at 7 pm - in Pärnu Concert Hall the opening concert of Pärnu International Choir Festival. Veljo Tormis' "Curse Upon Iron" will be performed.
  • 3 June at 10 pm - in Pärnu Elisabeth Church night concert
  • 4 June at 6 pm - at Pärnu Vallikäär - Estonian women's and girl's choirs singing day "Üle Maarjamaa" (artistic director Toomas Voll). The concert starts at 5 pm with celebrating our national flag's birthday on Rüütli Square. After that the procession heads to Vallikäär.
  • 11 June - at Sulbi song festival grounds (Võru county) conductor Triin Koch’s choirs’ IX singing day

  • 10 September - in Hellenurme Watermill-Millmuseum - the opening seminar of European Heritage Days in Estonia 2015
  • 6 November 10.00-17.00 - in Tartu in Eller Music School - "Tartu Choral Music Conference" (organised by the Academic Female Choir of the University of Tartu and Tiigi Seltsimaja
  • 6 November - in Tartu University assembly hall - the concert series of the Estonian Choral Association "Unustatud laulud" ("Forgotten songs") with the Estonian National Mens Choir
  • 20 and 21 December - in Tartu - "Kreegi vihik" ("Kreek's Notebook") by Tõnu Kõrvits, performed with the Tartu University Symphony Orchestra, the Academic Male Choir of Tartu and Tartu University Chamber Choir
